BLOG NAME CHANGE

Good evening, all. We hope this post finds you well. We regret to inform you that because of litigatory threats, Kradigan, unfortunately, must give up its name.

We first received a cease and desist from Venable LLC representing Taylor Swift in February 2025. Since then, countless legal proceedings have occurred. Unfortunately, Kradigan's quickly rising success threatened Ms. Swift's notorious song, Cardigan. To avoid being sued, we've made the executive decision to, unfortunately, back down. We have to give up rights to our name.

When we first started this blog, we promised we'd never give you up, or let you down. We had promised we'd never run around and desert you. But alas, we cannot make good on our commitment. We've known each other for so long. It is a deep regret of mine to lose this legal battle. We understand if you may feel hurt, or feel like an old cardigan under someone's bed. It's been an absolute pleasure to wear the name Kradigan proudly, and it's been so difficult to bear this loss.

Our legal team has spent countless sleepless midnights working to keep our name, till their eyebags were burning red. However, our reputation precedes us. In the face of such turmoil, our team has remained fearless for evermore. Kradigan will remain weaved into the folklore of the internet, despite attempts at erasure. Just like Tianenmen Square in 1989, Kradigan will persist. We urge every lover of this blog: take to the comments to speak now on the matter. We remain tortured, just like poets of the past.

In the wake of this tragedy, the time is upon us to choose a new name. Although we hope for good news, we expect none. This situation is delicate, and it is time to fill the blank space Kradigan used to hold. This summer is cruel to us.

We are pleased to announce the new name of this blog, taking inspiration from the wise words of Horace: "βάλλω απριλ φοολσ, φεύγω την ἵππον."

Without further ado, starting tomorrow, the new blog name will be: απριλ φοολσ!
